Our gold jewelry collection is crafted in 22 karat and 24 karat gold, the purity standard preferred across South Asia and the Middle East and noticeably richer in color than the 14K and 18K gold sold at most American chain stores. 22K gold is 91.6% pure gold, compared with 58.3% for 14K.

Every piece in this collection is sold with no making charges. At most jewelers you pay for the weight of the gold and then again for the labor that went into crafting it, typically another 10 to 25%. Here you pay the gold rate for the weight you are taking home. Ask us to weigh any piece and walk you through the math.

How to tell real 22K gold

• Hallmark. Genuine 22K is stamped 916, 22K or 22KT. Ask to see it.
• Color. 22K has a deep, saturated yellow. 14K looks pale beside it.
• Weight. Gold is dense, so a 22K piece feels heavier than a plated or lower-karat piece of the same size.
• A jeweler who will weigh it in front of you. We will.

22K vs 18K vs 14K

22K (91.6% gold): richest color and highest gold content, the traditional choice for bridal and heirloom pieces. Softer, so best for pieces that aren't worn hard every day.

18K (75% gold): a middle ground, common for diamond settings where the metal must hold stones securely.

14K (58.3% gold): hardest and most scratch-resistant, and the American default. Good for a ring worn every single day.
