About This Design

The colored enamel work, known as meenakari, is a traditional Indian art in which color is fused into the gold. It adds a festive pop of color that pairs well with bridal and festive outfits. Jalli work is a delicate lattice of cut-out patterns inspired by the carved stone screens of Indian palaces, giving the kada an airy, intricate look. The reverse design shows a different pattern on each side, so you can change the look of the kada simply by turning it.
